Can I cancel after my certificate has already been issued?

Yes, but only within 7 days of the certificate becoming available. Within that window, you can self-service cancel via the GCC portal and receive a full refund. After 7 days, the cancellation button disappears and you must contact GlobalSign support directly — refunds after this point are not guaranteed.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

If you cancel before certificate issuance, you receive a full refund with no fees. If you cancel within 7 days of the certificate being issued, you receive a full refund minus any processing fees. After the 7-day window, prorated or partial refunds are handled case-by-case by support and are not guaranteed per the Refund Policy.

What is the difference between cancellation and revocation?

Cancellation is an order/billing action that may trigger a refund and must be done within 7 days of issuance. Revocation permanently invalidates the certificate's trust (adds it to CRL/OCSP) and can be done at any time, but does not produce a refund. If GlobalSign grants a refund after issuance, you are contractually required to revoke the certificate.

What happens to my website if I cancel my SSL certificate?

Cancelling an order alone does not immediately break HTTPS. However, if the certificate is also revoked, browsers will reject HTTPS connections using that certificate almost immediately (propagation within ~24 hours). You should install a replacement certificate before revoking to avoid downtime.

Does cancelling a certificate close my GlobalSign account?

No. Cancellation only applies to the specific certificate order. Your GCC account remains active and you can place new orders at any time.

How do I cancel an Atlas platform or Digital Signing Service subscription?

For Atlas subscriptions, log in to the Atlas portal and navigate to the Identity tile to toggle auto-renewal off. For subscriptions over 50,000 signatures, you must contact your GlobalSign Sales Account Manager before the quote is finalized, as the portal does not allow disabling auto-renewal for large-volume plans. Log in to GCC Portal

Go to gcc.globalsign.com and log in to the GlobalSign Certificate Center (GCC) with your account credentials.

Open Order History

In the left-hand navigation column, click 'Search Order History' to display your certificate orders.

Find Your Order

Enter your order ID in the search field or click 'Search' to list all orders. Locate the certificate order you want to cancel.

Open the Certificate Edit Page

Click the 'Edit' button to the left of the order listing to open the Certificate Edit page.

Click Cancellation Request

At the top or bottom of the Certificate Edit page, click the 'Cancellation Request' button. This button is only visible within 7 days of certificate vetting completion — if it is not visible, you must contact support via a ticket.

Confirm Cancellation

Review the cancellation details shown on the confirmation screen, then click 'Confirm' at the bottom to finalize the cancellation.

Contact Support if Outside 7-Day Window

If the 'Cancellation Request' button is not visible (more than 7 days since issuance), submit a support ticket at support.globalsign.com/customer/portal/emails/new or email support-atlas@globalsign.com for Atlas platform subscriptions.
