Can I get a refund when I cancel?

ManageEngine offers a 45-day satisfaction guarantee for new subscriptions. If you cancel within the first 45 days and are dissatisfied, they will first try to resolve your issue; if unresolved, a full refund is issued. After 45 days, refunds are only granted if ManageEngine removed or broke a feature that existed at contract signing. Contact sales@manageengine.com to request a refund.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Data retention depends on the product. Most cloud products retain your data for 45–90 days after cancellation, during which you can still export it or restore your account. After the retention window, data is permanently deleted and unrecoverable. For on-premise licenses, your data remains on your own servers — ManageEngine does not host it.

Can I reactivate my account after canceling?

Yes. Most ManageEngine cloud products offer a 90-day restoration window after account closure. During this period you can reactivate and recover your data. Once the 90-day window expires, the account and all data are permanently deleted with no recovery option.

How do I stop auto-renewal without fully canceling?

For cloud/on-demand products, you must notify Zoho/ManageEngine at least 7 days before your renewal date to prevent automatic charges. Contact sales@manageengine.com with your account details and renewal date. For on-premise licenses, simply do not renew — but per the EULA, you must stop using and remove the software from your systems once the license expires.

Do I need to cancel each ManageEngine product separately?

Yes, if you use multiple ManageEngine products, each has its own cancellation flow within its respective admin console. There is no single centralized portal to cancel all ManageEngine subscriptions at once. If you want to close your entire Zoho organization (which covers all ManageEngine and Zoho services), you must follow Zoho's organization closure process as the Super Admin.

What if I just want to downgrade instead of cancel?

Most ManageEngine products support downgrading to a lower tier or a free edition. For example, MDM automatically reverts to a free 25-device plan if you stop renewing. For other products, contact sales@manageengine.com to discuss downgrade options. Note that downgrading from Enterprise to lower tiers on products like ServiceDesk Plus removes advanced modules (Problem Management, Change, CMDB), though underlying data is preserved in the database.

Export your data

Before canceling, export all your data from within the product console. Most ManageEngine cloud products support export to CSV, HTML, or XLS. Navigate to the relevant reports or data sections and download all data you need to retain, as data is permanently deleted after the retention window (45–90 days depending on product).

Log in as Super Admin

Sign in to your ManageEngine product console (e.g., ServiceDesk Plus Cloud, Endpoint Central Cloud, Identity360, etc.) using Super Admin credentials. Only the Super Admin role has permission to delete the organization account or cancel the subscription.

Navigate to Admin settings

Click 'Admin' in the top navigation bar or left sidebar. Then select 'Company Details' (on some products this is found under 'Global Settings' > 'Company Details').

Click 'Delete Account' or 'Close Account'

Scroll to the bottom of the Company Details page and click 'Delete Account', 'Close Account', or 'Cancel Subscription' — the exact button label varies by product. For on-premise/perpetual licenses (not cloud), there is no portal button — instead, email sales@manageengine.com to formally notify of non-renewal at least 7 days before your renewal date.

Complete multi-step confirmation

Follow 2–3 confirmation screens that appear. You will be asked to confirm the deletion/cancellation action. Read each screen carefully — some products (e.g., Endpoint Central) require you to first remove all managed agents and cancel active add-on subscriptions before the account deletion option becomes available.

Confirm account closure

After completing all confirmation steps, the account closure is processed. You will receive a confirmation. A 90-day restoration window begins — your account can be reactivated within this period. After 90 days, data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
