Is Hired.com still operating?

No. Hired.com shut down in June 2024 and was absorbed into LHH Recruitment Solutions (part of the Adecco Group). The entire Hired team was laid off and the product was discontinued. All hired.com URLs now redirect to lhh.com.

Will I get a refund after Hired shut down?

No formal public refund policy was announced at shutdown. Employers with active contracts at the time of closure should contact LHH Recruitment Solutions directly to negotiate any outstanding refunds or credits.

Can I still delete my data from Hired?

You can submit a formal data deletion request to support@hired.com or via a GDPR data rights service such as YourDigitalRights.org. Per Hired's last privacy policy, data was to be deleted within 120 days of a valid erasure request.

What happens to my candidate profile and data?

No public announcement was made about data migration or deletion at shutdown. It is advisable to submit a data erasure request to ensure your personal information is not retained by LHH.

Were candidate accounts paid subscriptions?

No. Candidates (job seekers) used Hired for free — there was never a billing relationship with candidates. Only employers paid for subscription access to the talent marketplace.

What are alternatives to Hired for tech job searching?

Request account or data deletion via email

Send an email to support@hired.com (may still be monitored by LHH) requesting account closure and data deletion. Reference your original Hired account email and company name. For formal GDPR/data erasure requests, you can also submit through YourDigitalRights.org targeting hired.com as the data controller.

Historical self-serve deletion (candidate accounts only)

When the platform was live, candidate account deletion was self-serve: log in → click your avatar → Settings → Account Management → scroll to 'Account Deletion' dropdown → select a reason → click Delete. Candidate accounts were always free with no billing involved.

Dispute any ongoing charges with your bank

If you are still seeing recurring charges from Hired/LHH on your credit card after the June 2024 shutdown, contact your bank or card issuer to dispute the charges and block future billing from this merchant.
