Can I still access Amplitude after cancelling?

Yes. Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account is downgraded to the free Starter plan, which retains limited functionality.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

Monthly plan cancellations are not eligible for prorated refunds — your plan simply stops renewing. Annual plan subscribers are not refunded for unused months; cancellation takes effect at the end of the annual term with no mid-term refund.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can reactivate or upgrade your plan at any time through the same Settings > Organization Settings > Plans & Billing path. Your historical data should still be accessible after reactivating.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Your data is retained even after downgrading to the free Starter plan. If you close your account entirely, Amplitude will delete your data per its retention policy. You can export data before cancelling via cloud destination exports (S3, Snowflake, GCS) or the Export API.

Who can cancel the Amplitude subscription?

The user who originally purchased the plan and all organization admins have the ability to cancel via the Plans & Billing settings page.

How do I cancel a Growth or Enterprise plan?

Log in to Amplitude

Go to https://amplitude.com and sign in to your account with your credentials.

Open Settings

Click on your organization name or the gear icon in the bottom-left corner of the Amplitude dashboard to open Settings.

Navigate to Organization Settings

In the Settings menu, select 'Organization Settings' from the left-hand sidebar.

Go to Plans & Billing

Click on 'Plans & Billing' in the Organization Settings section.

Click Manage Billing

On the Plans & Billing page, click the 'Manage Billing' button to open the billing management portal.

Select Cancel

In the billing portal, locate the cancellation option and click 'Cancel' (or 'Cancel Subscription') to initiate cancellation. This option is available to the original purchaser and all organization admins.

Confirm cancellation

Follow any on-screen confirmation prompts to finalize the cancellation. Your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period (first day of next month for monthly plans; first day of next year for annual plans).
