Can I still access my account after cancelling?

No. All user access is removed immediately upon cancellation. Your data is retained for 60 days in a frozen state, but you cannot log in or send messages during this period.

Will I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Customer.io's Terms of Service explicitly state that all fees paid are non-refundable. Month-to-month subscribers lose the remainder of their billing cycle with no pro-rata refund. Annual plan customers remain liable for fees through the end of their contract term.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Your account data is scheduled for permanent deletion 60 days after cancellation. During that 60-day window, you can contact billing@customer.io to restore your account. After 60 days, deletion is permanent and unrecoverable.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

Yes, if you act within 60 days of cancellation. Email billing@customer.io and the billing team can restore your account and all data. After 60 days, the data is permanently deleted and you would need to create a new account from scratch.

How do I cancel if I'm on a Premium or contract plan?

Premium plan customers cannot self-serve cancel. You must contact your dedicated Customer Success Manager directly. Written notice of termination is required per the Terms of Service.

Log in to Customer.io

Go to fly.customer.io and sign in with your account credentials. You must be an Account Admin or a member with 'Access billing & account info' permission to cancel.

Open Settings

Click on 'Settings' in the left-hand navigation menu.

Navigate to Plans & Billing

Under Settings, select 'Plans & Billing', then click on 'Your Plan'. You can also go directly to fly.customer.io/settings/billing/your-plan.

Scroll to find Cancel Account

Scroll to the bottom of the 'Your Plan' page to find the cancellation option.

Click 'Cancel Account'

Click the 'Cancel Account' button at the bottom of the page. This is only available for Essentials (self-serve) plan subscribers. Premium/contract plan customers must contact their dedicated Customer Success Manager directly.

Confirm cancellation

Complete any confirmation prompts. You will receive a confirmation email from Customer.io Support verifying that your account has been cancelled and billing has ended.
