When does my access end after canceling?

Your Zendesk subscription remains active until the end of your current billing cycle. You will not lose access immediately upon canceling.

Will I get a refund after canceling?

Zendesk's official documentation does not specify refund eligibility. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing cycle, so you typically use the service through the period already paid. Contact Zendesk Support directly to ask about pro-rated refunds for your specific plan.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Once the account is canceled, you can no longer sign in and your account data will be permanently deleted. Export all data (tickets, contacts, reports) before the cancellation date.

Can I reactivate my account after canceling?

Reactivation is not guaranteed after cancellation, and data deleted after account closure cannot be recovered. Contact Zendesk Sales if you wish to restart a subscription.

Who is allowed to cancel the account?

Only the account owner can initiate a cancellation. Billing admins and agents cannot cancel. If the account owner has changed, update the owner in account settings first.

What if I have a sales-assisted (enterprise) account?

If your account was set up through Zendesk Sales (a managed account), you cannot cancel online. You must contact your Zendesk account representative or sales contact to cancel.

Open Admin Center

Log in to your Zendesk account and navigate to the Admin Center. Click the four-square grid icon (Admin Center) in the top navigation bar of your Zendesk dashboard.

Go to Billing > Subscription

In the Admin Center left sidebar, click 'Account', then select 'Billing' and choose 'Subscription' from the submenu.

Click 'Manage'

On the Subscription page, click the 'Manage' button to open the subscription management view. (Legacy accounts: instead click the 'Cancellations' link at the very bottom of the Subscription page, then skip to step 5.)

Select 'Remove products or cancel account'

Scroll to the bottom of the Manage subscription page and click 'Remove products or cancel account'.

Select products to cancel

A list of cancellable products appears. Click 'Remove' next to each product you want to cancel (e.g. Support). Selected products appear in the Cancellation summary panel on the right. When done, click 'Continue'.

Confirm cancellation

A confirmation message appears showing the date the cancellation takes effect (end of current billing cycle). Click 'Cancel account' to confirm.

Complete the exit survey

A cancellation survey appears. Select your reason for leaving from the options provided, then submit to finalize the cancellation.
