Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

No. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account is automatically downgraded to the free Starter plan. Assets beyond the free tier limit (10 uploads) will be greyed out but not deleted.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

LottieFiles' official policy states all payments are non-refundable. The only exception is for EU residents who request a refund within 7 days of purchase and have not used any premium features. Despite the policy, support has informally issued refunds in some cases (e.g. forgotten auto-renewals) — it's worth contacting support at [email protected] to ask.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can reactivate at any time by going to Workspace Settings > Billing and selecting a plan. Your previously uploaded assets will become accessible again once you upgrade.

What happens to my files and animations after cancellation?

Your files are not deleted. After downgrading to the free Starter plan, you can access up to 10 assets. Any assets beyond that limit will be greyed out and inaccessible until you upgrade again. Shared animation links may also be disabled.

Can I cancel if I'm not the workspace owner?

No. Only the workspace owner can cancel. Regular team members do not see the Billing tab in Workspace Settings. If you need to cancel, contact your workspace owner.

Can I delete my LottieFiles account instead of just cancelling?

Only users without an active paid subscription can self-serve delete via Profile icon > Account Settings > General > Delete Account. If you have an active subscription, you must cancel first, then contact support to delete your account — you cannot do it yourself while subscribed.

Open Workspace Settings

In the left sidebar of your LottieFiles dashboard, click the three dots (...) next to your workspace name, then select 'Workspace settings' from the dropdown menu.

Go to the Billing tab

Inside Workspace Settings, click the 'Billing' tab. Note: this tab is only visible to the workspace owner — regular team members do not have access to billing settings.

Find the Cancel Subscription section

Scroll down the Billing page to locate the 'Cancel Subscription' section near the bottom.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Click the 'Cancel subscription' button. You will be presented with on-screen confirmation prompts.

Confirm cancellation

Follow the confirmation prompts to finalize your cancellation. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, then automatically downgrade to the free Starter plan.
