Do I still have access after cancelling my paid plan?

Yes. Downgrading to the Free plan retains access to Agora services with 10,000 free minutes per month for RTC. If you fully delete your account, access ends once the deletion is processed (within one week).

Can I get a refund on unused prepaid minutes or packages?

Top-up packages cannot be cancelled or refunded once purchased. For prepaid plan charges you believe are incorrect, contact Agora support at support@agora.io or call +1 (408) 879-5885.

When does my paid plan actually stop after I request a downgrade?

If you submit the downgrade request by the 25th of the current month, it takes effect on the 1st of the next month. Requests submitted after the 25th are delayed further — the downgrade won't take effect until the 1st of the month after next.

Can I reactivate my plan after cancelling?

Yes. You can re-subscribe to any paid plan at any time through the Subscriptions section in the Agora Console. Your account and project data remain intact unless you explicitly deleted your account.

What happens to my data if I cancel or delete my account?

Cancelling a paid plan (downgrading to Free) does not delete your data. Cancelling Agora Chat immediately and permanently deletes all Chat-related data — export first. Full account deletion is processed within one week after email confirmation; suspended accounts have data stored for 6 months before deletion.

How do I cancel an enterprise or contract-based subscription?

Standard self-serve cancellation steps do not apply if you have a contract with Agora. Contact your Agora account manager or email sales@agora.io to initiate cancellation per your contract terms.

Log in to Agora Console

Go to https://console.agora.io/v2 and sign in with your Agora account credentials.

Open Subscriptions

In the left sidebar, click 'Subscriptions', then select 'RTC Prepaid Plans' to see your active packages.

Downgrade to Free Plan

Select the Free package and click to 'purchase' it — this is how Agora triggers a downgrade. There is no dedicated Cancel button; switching to Free effectively cancels paid billing.

Confirm the Downgrade

Confirm the downgrade request in the dialog that appears. Note: if submitted by the 25th of the month, the change takes effect on the 1st of next month; if submitted after the 25th, it is delayed a further month.

Cancel Chat Subscription (if applicable)

If you use Agora Chat, navigate to the Chat section in the Console and click 'Unsubscribe'. Warning: this takes effect immediately and permanently deletes all Chat data.

Cancel Analytics Plan (if applicable)

Go to 'Agora Analytics' → 'Pricing Plan' in the left nav → click 'My Package Subscription' in the upper-right → find your plan → click 'Cancel' in the Action column.

Verify No Further Charges

Return to the Billing section to confirm no active paid packages remain. Check that your account balance is clear to avoid automatic deductions on the 6th of the following month.
