Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

Yes. GetResponse terminates your account immediately upon cancellation — there is no grace period to use the remaining paid time. To maximize value, cancel the day before your next renewal date.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

No. GetResponse is a pay-as-you-go service and does not issue refunds under any circumstances, even if you cancel immediately after being charged for a new billing period. You remain responsible for all amounts already charged.

What happens to my contacts and campaigns after cancellation?

All data — including contacts, newsletters, drafts, autoresponders, and campaign history — is permanently deleted when the account is closed. Export your data before cancelling.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

You cannot reactivate a closed account (data is permanently deleted). However, you can create a brand-new GetResponse account at any time. Alternatively, consider using the 'freeze account for 60 days' retention offer to keep your data intact while pausing billing.

Can I cancel directly in the mobile app?

No. GetResponse only allows account cancellation via a web browser. You cannot close your account through the iOS or Android mobile app.

What if I'm on an annual plan — do I get a partial refund?

No refunds are issued for annual plans either. If you cancel mid-year, you lose both access and the remaining prepaid months. GetResponse may offer 2 free months as a retention alternative to encourage you to stay instead of cancelling.

Log in to GetResponse

Go to app.getresponse.com and sign in to your account.

Open Billing settings

Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard, then select 'Billing' from the dropdown menu.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Scroll to the bottom of the Billing page and click the 'Cancel subscription' link or button.

Review account summary

GetResponse displays a summary of everything that will be permanently deleted: contacts, newsletters, drafts, and autoresponders. Review this screen carefully.

Click 'Yes, move on to cancellation'

After reviewing the account summary, click the 'Yes, move on to cancellation' button to proceed past the data-loss warning screen.

Decline retention offers

GetResponse presents retention alternatives before completing cancellation. Monthly plan users are offered: 1 month free of charge, downgrade to a lower plan, or freeze account for 60 days. Annual plan users are offered: 2 months free or downgrade to a lower plan. To proceed with cancellation, dismiss or skip these offers.

Select a cancellation reason (optional)

Optionally choose a reason for leaving from the provided list and add any feedback comments.

Confirm with 'Cancel my account'

Click the 'Cancel my account' button to finalize. A confirmation screen will appear immediately confirming the account has been closed.
