Can I cancel my Checkmarx subscription before the contract term ends?

No. Checkmarx's Terms of Service (Section 7.1) state that all orders are firm and non-cancelable by the customer once approved. You are bound for the full contract term (12 or 36 months). Early termination is only possible if Checkmarx commits a material breach uncured after 30 days written notice, becomes insolvent, or continued performance would violate law.

Will I get a refund when I cancel or don't renew?

Generally no. All fees are billed upfront and explicitly non-refundable per ToS Section 7.2.1. Exceptions exist only if Checkmarx fails to remedy a documented product non-conformity (prorated refund of unused fees) or if an IP infringement claim forces termination.

What happens to my access after the subscription ends?

Access terminates immediately at the end of the contract term. Per ToS Section 11.3, you must promptly delete all copies of the Checkmarx solution and documentation. There is no grace period.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

The Terms of Service require you to delete your copies of the solution and data, but Checkmarx's own post-termination data retention obligations are not publicly specified. Can I reactivate my Checkmarx subscription after it expires?

Review your contract term

Check your original order or contract for the exact end date. Checkmarx subscriptions run in 12-month or 36-month terms and are contractually non-cancelable mid-term per their Terms of Service (Section 7.1). You can only prevent auto-renewal, not cancel an active term.

Locate your Account Executive or Customer Success Manager

Find the named Checkmarx contact from your original sales process. This is the fastest path. Check your onboarding emails or your company's procurement records for their direct contact details.

Contact Checkmarx Sales/Account team

If you don't have a named contact, reach out via phone at +1 (800) 597-7756 or email sales@checkmarx.com. For AWS Marketplace purchases, email aws-marketplace@checkmarx.com instead. State that you do not wish to renew at end of term.

Submit a support ticket (optional parallel step)

Log in to the Customer Service Portal at https://support.checkmarx.com using your organizational credentials. Open a ticket requesting non-renewal confirmation to create a written paper trail alongside your direct account contact.

Send written non-renewal notice

Confirm in writing (email to your Account Executive and/or sales@checkmarx.com) that you do not intend to renew when the current term expires. Request written acknowledgment from Checkmarx confirming your intent to cancel on file.

Confirm data and access end date

Ask your account contact to confirm the exact date access will terminate. Per Checkmarx Terms of Service Section 11.3, all licenses terminate immediately at end of term and you must delete all copies of the solution and documentation.
