Can I keep my phone number when I cancel Telenor?

Yes. If switching to another Norwegian carrier, your new provider will handle the number porting (nummerportabilitet) and notify Telenor on your behalf. If you just want to stop paying monthly bills without switching, you can convert your subscription to a prepaid kontantkort, which keeps your number active.

Will I be charged a cancellation fee?

Only if you are still within a binding period (typically 12 or 24 months). After the binding period expires, cancellation is free. If you cancel early, Telenor charges a bruddgebyr (termination fee) proportional to the remaining months and any subsidised equipment cost. Log in to Mine Sider (My Pages)

Go to telenor.no and click 'Logg inn' (Log in) in the top-right corner. Sign in with BankID, BankID on mobile, or your Telenor username and password.

Navigate to your subscription

After logging in, go to 'Mine abonnement' (My subscriptions) in the menu. Select the subscription you want to cancel.

Check for online cancellation option

For add-on services: click 'Se alle' (See all) next to the 'Tjenester' (Services) heading, select the service, and click 'Avbestill denne tjenesten' (Cancel this service). For the main mobile subscription, online self-service cancellation is not available — proceed to the next step.

Visit the Oppsigelse (Cancellation) page

Go to telenor.no/kundeservice/oppsigelse/ to access Telenor's official cancellation guidance page, which lists all available cancellation methods and links to the contact form.

Cancel via phone or contact form

Call Telenor customer service at 915 09000 (available Mon–Fri) and state you want to cancel your subscription ('Jeg ønsker å si opp abonnementet mitt'). Alternatively, submit a written cancellation via the contact form at telenor.no/kundeservice/kontakt-oss/. You can also use the chatbot 'Telmi' on telenor.no for cancelling insurance add-ons.

Confirm cancellation and check final billing

Request written confirmation of your cancellation. For mobile subscriptions, you pay fees through the end of the cancellation month. For TV, broadband, or home phone, a one-month notice period applies, effective from the first day of the following month. Any overpaid fees are refunded.

Return leased equipment (if applicable)

If you lease a WiFi router or T-We Box II, obtain a return slip at telenor.no/kundeservice/oppsigelse/returslipp/ and send equipment back to avoid additional charges.
