Does FabFilter have a subscription I can cancel?

No. FabFilter sells perpetual (lifetime) licenses only. There is no monthly or annual subscription — you pay once and own the license forever. The only 'cancellation' available is requesting a refund within 30 days of purchase.

Can I get a refund on my FabFilter purchase?

Yes, within 30 days of purchase. Submit a request via the Cleverbridge refund form at https://www.cleverbridge.com/refund or email info@fabfilter.com with your order reference. Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to process.

What happens to my license if I get a refund?

Your license key is permanently deactivated and cannot be reactivated. The refund is irreversible — you will lose access to the plugin(s) included in that order.

Can I transfer my license instead of getting a refund?

Yes. If you are outside the 30-day refund window, you can transfer your personal license to another person via your FabFilter account at https://www.fabfilter.com/myaccount. A small transfer fee applies. Educational (NFR) licenses and bundle licenses cannot be transferred individually.

How do I unsubscribe from the FabFilter newsletter?

Click the unsubscribe link in the footer of any FabFilter newsletter email, or log into your account at https://www.fabfilter.com/myaccount and manage your email preferences there.

I bought from a reseller — who do I contact for a refund?

Contact the reseller directly (e.g. Plugin Boutique, Sweetwater, Thomann). FabFilter can only process refunds for purchases made directly through their official shop powered by Cleverbridge.

FabFilter sells perpetual (lifetime) licenses only — there is no recurring subscription to cancel. All purchases are one-time payments. If you want your money back, you need to request a refund within 30 days of purchase.

Locate your Cleverbridge order reference

Find the order confirmation email sent by Cleverbridge AG (FabFilter's payment processor) when you purchased. Note the Cleverbridge reference number — you will need it for the refund request.

Visit the Cleverbridge refund form

Go to https://www.cleverbridge.com/refund. Enter the email address used at checkout and your Cleverbridge reference number.

Select a refund reason and submit

Choose a reason from the dropdown (e.g. 'Wrong Product', 'Duplicate Order', or 'Other'). Click 'Submit' to send the refund request.

Confirm refund via email

Check your inbox for a confirmation email from Cleverbridge. Click the 'Start Refund' button inside the email to finalize the refund. Without this step the refund will not proceed.

Alternative: email FabFilter directly

If the Cleverbridge form does not work, email info@fabfilter.com with your Cleverbridge reference number and reason for the refund. FabFilter will initiate the refund on your behalf. This is only possible within 30 days of purchase.
