Is there a fee to cancel my Helpling subscription or recurring bookings?

There is no fee to cancel a subscription or recurring booking arrangement itself. However, individual booking cancellation fees apply based on notice given: free if cancelled 48+ hours before the appointment, 25% charge within 24–48 hours, 50% within 12–24 hours, and the full price if cancelled less than 12 hours before.

Can I still access my account after cancelling?

Yes, cancelling a recurring booking or individual appointment does not close your account. You retain full access and can make new bookings at any time. Only a full account deletion removes your access permanently.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Refunds are not typically issued for cancelled bookings unless cancelled more than 48 hours in advance, in which case you are not charged at all. For any advance prepayments, contact Helpling support directly to check eligibility.

Can I reactivate my account if I delete it?

No. If you fully delete your Helpling account, it cannot be reactivated. You would need to create a brand-new account. Cancelling bookings without deleting your account allows you to resume booking at any time.

What happens to my scheduled appointments when I cancel?

Cancelling a recurring booking stops all future appointments in that series. Any already-confirmed upcoming appointments in the series will also be cancelled, and your cleaner will be notified. Outstanding payments for past services must still be settled.

How do I request deletion of my personal data?

To have your personal data deleted under GDPR or applicable privacy laws, submit a request via your regional Helpling support portal or email your local support team (e.g. kontakt@helpling.de for Germany, contact@helpling.nl for the Netherlands). Deletion is typically processed within a few days to two weeks.

Log in to your Helpling account

Go to helpling.com and sign in with your email and password using the 'Log in' button in the top-right corner.

Open Account Settings

Click on your profile icon or name in the top-right corner, then select 'Account Settings' or 'Personal Details' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to your bookings or subscription

If cancelling recurring bookings, go to 'My Orders' or 'Current Orders' in your account dashboard. If deleting your account entirely, remain in Account Settings and scroll down to find the 'Delete Account' or 'Close Account' option.

Select the booking or recurring plan to cancel

Click on the specific recurring booking you wish to cancel, then click 'Manage' to reveal cancellation options. Select 'End Recurring Relationship' or 'Cancel all bookings' to stop all future cleanings with that cleaner.

Choose a cancellation reason

A dropdown or form will appear asking for a cancellation reason. Select the most applicable reason from the list and optionally add a brief comment (may be required).

Confirm the cancellation

Click the 'Confirm' or 'Cancel Booking' button to finalise. You will receive an email confirmation of the cancellation to your registered email address.
