Log in to the Vendor Portal
Go to digitalmarkets.gartner.com/login and sign in with your Capterra vendor credentials. This is the central hub for managing your paid Capterra listing and advertising account.
Review your current billing and contract
Navigate to your account settings or billing section to confirm your subscription type, any outstanding balance, and whether you are within a contract period. Note that basic profile listings are permanent and cannot be removed — only paid advertising services can be terminated.
Compose a termination email
Draft an email to gdmhelp@gartner.com (for paid/upgraded vendor services). The email must include: your company name, your Capterra product listing name, and a stated reason for termination. Per Capterra's General Vendor Terms, the reason is required for the cancellation to be processed.
Send the cancellation email
Send the email to gdmhelp@gartner.com with subject line such as 'Termination of Paid Capterra Advertising Services — [Your Company Name]'. Keep a copy for your records.
Await confirmation from Capterra
Capterra is required to confirm termination by email within two business days of receiving your notice. If you do not receive confirmation within 2 business days, follow up directly. Termination is not effective until you receive the confirmation email.
Settle any outstanding fees
All charges accrued up to and including the termination date remain your responsibility. Any outstanding balance is due immediately upon termination. Review the final invoice sent by Capterra and ensure payment is made to avoid collections.
