Log in to Upstash Console

Go to https://console.upstash.com and sign in with your Upstash account credentials.

Open QStash section

In the left sidebar, click 'QStash' to open your QStash dashboard.

Navigate to your QStash instance settings

Click on your QStash instance, then look for the 'Settings' tab or a plan/billing section within the instance detail page.

Change or downgrade your plan

Locate the plan selector — for Pay as You Go users, messages simply stop being billed when unused. For Fixed plan users (Fixed 1M at $180/mo or Fixed 10M at $420/mo), select a lower plan or contact support@upstash.com to switch back to Pay as You Go or Free tier, as Upstash does not always allow self-serve downgrades from paid plans.

Remove Prod Pack add-on (if applicable)

If you have the Prod Pack add-on (+$200/mo), look for the Prod Pack toggle at the top right of the QStash detail page and disable it.

Delete account to stop all billing (optional)

To fully terminate your Upstash account: first delete all databases and clusters, then go to Account > Settings > Delete Account and confirm. All data is permanently and immediately deleted and cannot be recovered.
