Review your contract terms

Before cancelling, check your current contract duration (12 months for most plans, 18 months for SuperSmart Pa Limit) and calculate any early termination penalty. The penalty equals the sum of all remaining monthly fees. For example, cancelling 4 months early on a 1,500 ALL/month plan incurs a 6,000 ALL penalty.

ALBtelecom Mobile does not offer online self-service contract cancellation. Locate your nearest store (if going in person)

Prepare your identification

Bring your Albanian national ID card (Kartë Identiteti) or passport to the store. A valid photo ID is required for all account changes and contract terminations. If calling, have your account number and national ID number ready to verify your identity.

Request contract termination

At the store or on the phone, clearly state you want to terminate ('anullim të kontratës' or 'ndërprerje kontrate') your mobile subscription. The representative will review your account, confirm any outstanding balance or early termination fee, and initiate the cancellation process.

Pay any outstanding fees

If cancelling before your contract end date, pay the early termination penalty (remaining months × monthly fee). If you have a bundled IPTV decoder, an additional 10,000 ALL proportional penalty may apply. Return any subsidized equipment if required by your contract.

Confirm cancellation and get written confirmation

Ask for written or SMS confirmation that your contract has been terminated and that no further charges will be applied. Note the effective cancellation date. If porting your number to a new operator, contact the new operator to initiate an MNP (number portability) request instead of cancelling directly — this handles the cancellation automatically.
