What happens to the money in my Revolut account?

Open the Revolut app

Launch the Revolut app on your smartphone and make sure you are logged in to your account.

Go to your Profile

Tap your profile icon or avatar in the top-left corner of the screen to access your account settings.

Select your Plan

Tap on 'Plan' to view your current subscription tier (Plus, Premium, Metal, or Ultra).

Downgrade to Standard (free)

Tap 'Change plan' and select the Standard plan, which is completely free. This cancels any paid subscription while keeping your account active.

Close account (optional)

If you want to fully close your account instead, go to Profile → Settings → scroll down → 'Close account'. Ensure your balance is zero and all cards are frozen before confirming.
