Can I still access Lightroom after I cancel?

You lose access to the Lightroom desktop and mobile apps once your paid period ends. You can still log in to view (but not edit) photos stored in Lightroom cloud via a limited free account, but your library is read-only and cloud storage is reduced to 2 GB.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

Adobe offers a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of the initial purchase. After 14 days, monthly plan subscribers receive no refund for the current billing period. Annual plan subscribers paying monthly owe an early termination fee of 50% of the remaining balance.

What happens to my photos if I cancel?

Photos stored only in Lightroom cloud are at risk — Adobe gives you a grace period (typically 1 year) before deleting cloud-only content, but you should export originals before cancelling. Photos you originally imported from your hard drive remain on your device.

Can I reactivate my Lightroom subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can resubscribe at any time at adobe.com/lightroom. Your catalog and cloud-synced photos are restored if you reactivate within Adobe's retention window (typically up to 1 year after cancellation).

What if I bought Lightroom through the App Store or Google Play?

You must cancel through the store that billed you — not through Adobe's website. On iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Lightroom → Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Lightroom → Cancel.

Is there an early termination fee?

Only if you are on an annual plan billed monthly. In that case, cancelling before the year ends incurs a fee of 50% of all remaining monthly payments. Annual plans prepaid upfront and month-to-month plans have no termination fee (though no partial refund is given after 14 days).

Sign in to Adobe Account

Go to account.adobe.com and sign in with your Adobe ID and password.

Navigate to Plans

Click on 'Plans' in the top navigation, or go directly to account.adobe.com/plans to see all your active subscriptions.

Select Manage Plan

Find your Lightroom (or Photography Plan) subscription and click the 'Manage plan' button next to it.

Click 'Cancel your plan'

On the plan details page, scroll down and click 'Cancel your plan'. If this option is greyed out or missing, Adobe may be processing a payment — try again in 24 hours.

Review plan details and continue

Adobe shows a summary of what you'll lose (app access, cloud storage, etc.). Click 'Continue to cancel' to proceed past this screen.

Select a cancellation reason

Choose a reason from the dropdown (e.g. 'Too expensive', 'Not using it enough', 'Switching to another product'). Adobe may present a retention offer here — a discount or free months — based on your selection. Click 'Continue' to decline and proceed.

Confirm cancellation

Review the final cancellation summary including any early termination fee (50% of remaining balance for annual-monthly plans). Click 'Confirm cancellation' to complete the process.

Check confirmation email

Adobe sends a cancellation confirmation to your registered email address. Save it for your records.
