Sign in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Go to https://admin.microsoft.com and sign in with your Global Administrator or Billing Administrator credentials. Regular user accounts cannot cancel organizational Power BI Pro subscriptions — only admins can.

Open Billing > Your products

In the left-hand navigation panel, click 'Billing' to expand the section, then click 'Your products'. This shows all active Microsoft subscriptions for your organization.

Select the Power BI Pro subscription

Scroll through the product list to find 'Power BI Pro' (may also appear as 'Power BI Premium per user'). Click on the subscription name to open its details page.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

On the subscription details page, locate the 'Cancel subscription' button (usually in the top action area or under a '...' More options menu). Click it to begin the cancellation flow. Alternatively, if you only want to stop renewal, select 'Turn off recurring billing' — this keeps access until the billing period ends without immediately cancelling.

Review cancellation terms and data warning

Microsoft displays a summary panel showing: the cancellation effective date, a warning that all user data (reports, dashboards, datasets) will be permanently deleted after the subscription expires, and whether you qualify for a prorated refund (only within 7 days of start or renewal date). Read carefully before proceeding.

Confirm cancellation

Click the 'Cancel subscription' confirmation button in the dialog. You will receive a confirmation email to the admin account. The subscription status changes to 'Disabled' immediately or at the end of the current billing period depending on the refund window.
