Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

No. Your account remains active until the end of your current billing period. For annual plans, cancellation takes effect at the end of the annual subscription period.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

ActiveCampaign does not offer prorated refunds for unused time on monthly plans. Users on annual plans may request a refund within 30 days of purchase. Trial account cancellations are not charged at all.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

After cancellation you lose access to your data. Contact data is queued for deletion after 30 days, but may be restorable from ActiveCampaign's most recent backup for up to one year unless you manually delete it first via the deletion feature.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

Yes. You can reactivate your ActiveCampaign account by logging back in and upgrading to a paid plan before your data is permanently deleted.

Can I pause instead of cancel?

Yes, but only if you are on a monthly billing plan. The pause option is presented during the cancellation flow and keeps your account and data intact during the pause period.

I'm on a 'Commit annually, pay monthly' plan — can I cancel online?

No. Users on 'Commit annually, pay monthly' plans must contact ActiveCampaign's Customer Experience team directly to cancel, as the self-serve cancellation flow is not available for this plan type.

Log in to your ActiveCampaign account

Go to your ActiveCampaign account and sign in with your admin credentials. You must be the Primary Admin on the account to cancel — sub-users cannot initiate cancellation.

Open Billing & Upgrade

Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of the dashboard. In the pop-up menu, select 'Billing & upgrade'.

Click 'Edit payment method'

On the Billing & Upgrade page, click the 'Edit payment method' button on the right side of the page. This opens a billing modal.

Select 'Cancel my account'

In the lower-left corner of the billing modal, click 'Cancel my account'. This begins the cancellation flow.

Complete the cancellation survey

ActiveCampaign will take you through multiple screens asking why you are leaving and may offer alternatives such as pausing your account (available for monthly plans only), a discounted plan, or a one-on-one session with a product expert. Review each screen and continue.

Confirm cancellation

On the final screen, click 'Confirm cancellation' to complete the process. You should receive a cancellation confirmation email shortly after.
