Do I need to do anything besides cancel in Stripe?

For self-hosted plans, yes. You must both cancel the Stripe subscription at customer.appsmith.com AND remove the license key inside Admin Settings → License & Plans. These are independent actions — removing the license key alone does not stop billing.

Can I get a refund if I cancel mid-term?

No. Appsmith's Terms and Conditions explicitly state that all payments are non-refundable, with no provision for pro-rated refunds on mid-cycle cancellations.

How much notice do I need to give to avoid auto-renewal?

You must cancel at least 60 days before your subscription term end date to prevent automatic renewal.

What features will I lose after downgrading to the free plan?

You will lose: SSO (OIDC/SAML), SCIM user provisioning, Granular Access Control, staging datasource environments, unlimited private Git repositories (capped at 3), custom branding, audit logs, app embedding, Ask AI (code generation), and parent-app message interactions.

Will my settings be restored if I resubscribe?

Yes, Appsmith restores previous settings when you reactivate a paid plan, except for SCIM configurations — those must be reconfigured manually.

What happens to users who signed in via SSO after cancellation?

SSO access is disabled immediately. Affected users will lose access and must re-register using email/password form login.

Log in to the billing portal

Go to customer.appsmith.com (for self-hosted plans) or login.appsmith.com (for cloud plans) and sign in with your organization owner account.

Open Billing

In the left sidebar (self-hosted portal) or via the gear icon in the top-right corner (cloud), click 'Billing'.

Open Stripe dashboard

Click the 'Visit Stripe dashboard' button. You will be redirected to Stripe's customer portal.

Cancel subscription in Stripe

In the Stripe portal, click 'Cancel subscription' and confirm the cancellation. This stops all future billing.

Remove license key (self-hosted only)

If you are on a self-hosted plan, go to Admin Settings → License & Plans inside your Appsmith instance, click the 'Remove' button next to your license key, and confirm in the dialog. Note: this step does NOT cancel billing — it only downgrades the instance.
