Will I get a refund when I cancel?

Nutshell does not offer refunds for usage of less than one calendar month. There are no early cancellation fees or lock-in contracts. Your access continues through the end of your current billing cycle, and no pro-rated refunds are issued for unused time on annual plans.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Nutshell has no contracts and no lock-in periods. You can cancel a monthly or annual plan at any time by submitting the cancellation form in Settings > Nutshell Billing.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

You retain access to your account until the end of the current billing cycle. After the account closes, your data will eventually be deleted. Trial account data is explicitly wiped from servers after 90 days; the same window is expected for paid accounts. Export your data before canceling to avoid losing it.

Can I reactivate my account after canceling?

There is no documented self-serve reactivation flow. If you want to reactivate, contact Nutshell support at support@nutshell.com or call (888) 336-8808.

Does disabling users cancel my subscription?

No. Disabling users does not cancel your Nutshell account or stop billing. You must submit the official cancellation form found under Settings > Nutshell Billing > 'Close your account' to actually cancel.

Do I need to cancel a free trial?

No. Nutshell's 14-day free trial ends automatically with no charges. You do not need to submit a cancellation form. Trial data is deleted at trial end and wiped from servers after 90 days.

Export your data

Before canceling, export your data: go to Settings (gear icon in the lower-left corner) > Data > Export, then click 'Create full export'. This downloads a ZIP file with CSVs for Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Activities, Notes, Emails, Products, and Tasks.

Open Settings

Click the gear icon in the lower-left corner of the Nutshell app to open Settings.

Go to Nutshell Billing

In the Settings menu, click 'Nutshell Billing' to open your subscription and billing details.

Click 'Close your account'

On the Nutshell Billing page, find and click the 'Close your account' link on the right side of the page. Note: disabling users does NOT cancel your account — you must complete this form.

Complete and submit the cancellation form

Follow the on-screen prompts to fill out and submit the official cancellation form. Once submitted, your account will remain active through the end of your current billing cycle.
