Can I get a refund after cancelling my Entrust subscription?

It depends on your product type. Retail SSL/TLS certificates purchased directly are eligible for a refund within 30 days of the invoice date — the certificate will be revoked upon refund. Enterprise and subscription agreements are non-cancellable and non-refundable regardless of when you cancel; no pro-rata refunds are issued for unused periods.

What happens to my certificates after I cancel?

All active certificates associated with your account will be revoked upon cancellation or refund. Revocation propagates via CRL (updated every 24 hours) and OCSP, meaning browsers and systems will immediately stop trusting revoked certificates. Make sure to replace any certificates before cancelling if they are still in use.

How much notice do I need to give before cancelling?

Enterprise and subscription agreements require at least 60 days written notice before the end of your current Offering Term. Failing to give notice in time may roll your contract into the next term. Retail certificate refunds must be requested within 30 days of purchase.

I purchased through a reseller — who handles my cancellation?

If you purchased through a reseller (e.g., IngramCloud or another channel partner), the cancellation must be processed through your reseller's portal and they must be contacted to finalize termination. Entrust's direct support may redirect you back to your reseller.

My Entrust SSL certificate is now managed by Sectigo — what do I do?

As of September 18, 2025, Entrust completed the migration of its public certificate business to Sectigo. All former Entrust public TLS, S/MIME, VMC, and Code Signing certificate customers are now under Sectigo, which honors original Entrust contract terms and pricing. For cancellation or account management, contact Sectigo at https://www.sectigo.com/entrust-migration.

Will there be a fee if I want to reactivate my Entrust account after cancelling?

Yes. Entrust has a documented Contract Reinstatement Fee Policy — if a cancelled or lapsed contract is reactivated, a reinstatement fee applies. Review the policy at https://www.entrust.com/legal-compliance/policies/reinstatement-fee-policy before cancelling if you think you may return.

Log in to your portal

For reseller-managed accounts: log in to your Customer Control Panel (e.g., IngramCloud portal). For direct Entrust accounts: log in at https://www.entrust.com or your specific product portal (e.g., https://support.identity.entrust.com for Identity/IAM products).

Navigate to Subscriptions

In the Customer Control Panel, click 'Account' from the left-side menu, then click 'Subscriptions'. Select the specific Entrust subscription you wish to cancel.

Click 'Cancel Subscription'

On the subscription detail page, click the 'Cancel Subscription' button. Select a cancellation reason from the dropdown and click 'Proceed' to confirm.

Contact your reseller or account rep to finalize

For reseller accounts: contact your reseller to complete the process — the subscription status will change from 'Active' to 'Terminated'. For direct enterprise contracts: contact your Entrust account representative to submit the required written cancellation notice.
