Do I lose access to Canva immediately after cancelling?

No. Your Canva Pro access remains active until the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). After that your account reverts to the free Canva plan.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Canva's policy does not guarantee refunds after a charge has been processed. Refunds may be granted on a case-by-case basis if you contact support shortly after a renewal charge, but they are not automatic. Annual plan purchasers within a short window after purchase have the best chance.

What happens to my designs if I cancel?

All your designs are retained on the free plan. However, any designs that use Canva Pro elements (premium photos, templates, fonts) will show those elements as locked or watermarked until you re-subscribe or replace them with free alternatives.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can reactivate at any time by returning to Account Settings → Billing & Teams and choosing a plan. Your previous designs and folders are preserved.

I subscribed via the App Store or Google Play — can I cancel on the website?

No. If you subscribed through Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through your device's subscription settings (iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Subscriptions). Canva's website cannot cancel app-store-managed subscriptions.

Does pausing my plan count as cancelling?

No. Pausing freezes your plan for 1–3 months and your payment method stays on file. Billing resumes automatically after the pause ends. To fully stop charges you must complete the cancellation flow past the pause offer screen.

Log in to Canva

Go to canva.com and sign in to the account with the active subscription you want to cancel.

Open Account Settings

Click your profile picture or avatar in the top-right corner of the homepage, then select 'Account settings' from the dropdown menu.

Go to Billing & Teams

In the left sidebar of Account Settings, click 'Billing & teams' (sometimes labeled 'Billing & Plans'). This shows your current active subscription.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Locate your active Canva Pro (or Teams) plan and click the 'Cancel subscription' link or button. On some accounts you may first need to click 'Manage plan' to reveal the cancel option.

Review the pause offer

Canva presents a 'Pause your plan' option — pausing for up to 3 months stops payments temporarily but auto-resumes after the pause period. To proceed with full cancellation, click 'Continue cancellation'.

Select a cancellation reason

Choose a reason for cancelling from the dropdown list (e.g. 'Too expensive', 'Not using it enough'). This step is required before proceeding.

Confirm cancellation

Click the red 'Continue cancellation' button on the confirmation screen. Canva may present a final 'Keep Canva Pro' button alongside it — ignore this and confirm with 'Yes, cancel subscription'.

Check for confirmation email

You will receive a cancellation confirmation email. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period (shown in the confirmation screen).
