Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?

No. You retain full access to your paid plan features until the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). After that, the team or account automatically downgrades to the free Starter plan.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Generally no — Figma's payments are non-refundable. The exception is EU and Turkey residents, who can request a refund if they cancel within 14 days of purchase. Annual subscribers who cancel mid-term do not receive a prorated refund.

How do I cancel if I subscribed through iOS or Android?

If you subscribed via the iOS App Store, cancel through iPhone/iPad Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. If you subscribed via Google Play, cancel through the Google Play Store under Subscriptions. You cannot cancel these through the Figma website.

Can I reactivate my plan after cancelling?

Yes. You can upgrade back to a paid plan at any time from the Admin settings (team) or Billing settings (individual). Your files and project data are preserved during the free Starter period.

What happens to my files and projects after downgrading to free?

Your files remain accessible, but free Starter plan limits apply (e.g., limited number of projects and editors). Files beyond the free tier limits become view-only until you upgrade again.

What if I am an admin of multiple teams — do I need to cancel each separately?

Yes. Each team is billed independently. You must go into the Admin > Settings > Plan section for each paid team and cancel them individually.

Log in to Figma

Go to figma.com and log in with the account that is being billed for the subscription.

Open Admin settings (Team plan) or Account Settings (individual)

For a Professional or Organization team plan: find your team in the left sidebar of the file browser, then click 'Admin'. For an individual/Starter upgrade: click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select 'Settings'.

Navigate to the Plan section

In the Admin panel, click the 'Settings' tab, then scroll to the 'Plan' section. For individual account settings, click 'Billing' in the left sidebar.

Initiate cancellation

Click 'Cancel plan' (team Admin view) or click 'Change plan' next to your active plan and select 'Starter (Free)' to downgrade, which effectively cancels the paid plan.

Select a cancellation reason

Figma displays a required cancellation reason survey. Select the most appropriate reason from the dropdown or list provided.

Confirm cancellation

Click 'Cancel plan' (or 'Confirm') to finalize. You will see an on-screen confirmation that your plan will revert to the free Starter plan at the end of your current billing period.
