What happens to my recordings after I cancel?

Your account is downgraded to Riverside's free plan at the end of your current billing cycle. Recordings and content remain accessible on the free tier, subject to free-plan storage limits.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

Yes, within limits. Monthly plan subscribers can request a full refund within 48 hours of purchase. Yearly plan subscribers can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. After those windows, refunds are generally not issued.

Will I lose access immediately after canceling?

No. You retain access to your paid plan features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account is moved to the free plan automatically.

Can I reactivate my subscription after canceling?

Yes. You can reactivate at any time by going back to your Subscription settings and choosing a new plan. Your account and content are preserved while on the free plan.

Do I need to cancel 30 days before my renewal?

Riverside's terms previously required 30 days' notice before expiration, but in practice the self-serve cancellation takes effect immediately and prevents the next charge. Cancel as soon as you decide to avoid being billed for another cycle.

How do I cancel if I subscribed through the mobile app?

Open the Riverside mobile app, tap your studio name in the top-left, then tap Settings → Subscription → Cancel plan, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete cancellation.

Log in to Riverside.fm

Go to riverside.fm and log in to your account using your credentials.

Open the account menu

In the bottom-left corner of the dashboard, click on your account name or avatar to open the account menu.

Go to Manage Account

From the menu, click 'Manage account' to open your account settings.

Navigate to Subscription

In the left sidebar under 'Your account', click 'Subscription' (also accessible via Settings → 'Plan & Billing').

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Scroll to the bottom of the Subscription page and click the 'Cancel subscription' (or 'Cancel plan') button.

Complete the cancellation survey

Select your reason for canceling from the dropdown and click 'Continue to cancel'. Answer any follow-up questions in the multi-step cancellation flow.

Confirm cancellation

Continue through the remaining prompts until you see a confirmation message on screen that your subscription has been canceled.
