Can I cancel MuleSoft mid-contract and get a refund?

Generally no. MuleSoft's Main Services Agreement explicitly states that payment obligations are non-cancellable and fees paid are non-refundable. The only exception is if you terminate due to MuleSoft's uncured material breach, in which case you receive a prorated refund for the remaining prepaid term.

How much advance notice do I need to give before canceling?

The standard MuleSoft contract requires written notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the subscription term end date. However, your specific Order Form may require a longer window — some Salesforce-family agreements require up to 60–180 days. Always check your Order Form first.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Upon termination or expiration, you have 30 days to request and export your data from Anypoint Platform. After that 30-day window, MuleSoft has no obligation to retain your data and may delete it permanently. Export all APIs, integration flows, and assets before or immediately after cancellation.

Is there a self-service cancellation button or portal?

No. MuleSoft is an enterprise contract-based platform with no online cancel button. All cancellations and non-renewals must go through your assigned Account Executive or a formal support case submitted at https://help.salesforce.com.

Can I cancel a MuleSoft free trial or delete a trial organization?

Trials expire automatically. To delete a trial Anypoint Platform organization before expiry, you must open a support case at https://help.salesforce.com. If you are the sole member of the organization, leaving it will delete it. If other members exist, you must provide their username to be promoted to owner in the support ticket.

Can I reactivate my MuleSoft subscription after canceling?

Yes, you can sign a new contract with MuleSoft/Salesforce after cancellation. Contact MuleSoft sales at https://www.mulesoft.com/contact or call 1-800-596-4880. Note that your previous data may no longer be available if the 30-day post-cancellation export window has passed.

Review your contract terms

Check your Order Form and Main Services Agreement for the non-renewal notice window. Log in to Anypoint Platform at https://anypoint.mulesoft.com to find your subscription details.

Contact your Account Executive or Customer Success Manager

Reach out directly to your assigned MuleSoft Account Executive (AE) or Customer Success Director (CSD/CSM) via email. State clearly that you wish to not renew or cancel your subscription. Every commercial MuleSoft customer has a dedicated account team — this is the primary cancellation path.

Submit a formal support case

As a paper trail, log in to https://help.salesforce.com with your Anypoint Platform credentials, click 'Contact Support', and open a new case. Set the subject to 'Subscription Non-Renewal Notice' and include your organization name, account ID, subscription end date, and written intent to cancel or not renew.

Export all data and integration assets

Before or immediately after submitting your cancellation notice, export all APIs, integration flows, connectors, and data from Anypoint Platform. Log in at https://anypoint.mulesoft.com, navigate to your organization settings, and download all relevant assets. You have only 30 days after termination to request data retrieval.

Send written non-renewal notice via email

Follow up with a formal email to your AE and to MuleSoft support (support@mulesoft.com or via the help portal) explicitly stating your non-renewal intent, the subscription term end date, and your organization name/ID. This creates the required written record under the contract terms.

Confirm cancellation acknowledgment

Wait for written confirmation from your Account Executive or MuleSoft support that your non-renewal notice has been received and recorded. Keep this confirmation for your records. If you do not receive acknowledgment within 5 business days, follow up via phone at 1-800-596-4880.
