Will I still have access to Grain after I cancel?

Yes. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, so you retain full paid access until that date.

Can I get a refund if I cancel mid-cycle?

Grain's Terms of Service state no refunds for mid-term cancellations. However, the pricing page mentions a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers — contact Grain support directly to request it, as it conflicts with the ToS. Plan downgrades (not full cancellations) receive a pro-rated credit toward future charges.

What happens to my recordings and data after I cancel?

Your account downgrades to the Free plan rather than being deleted. Recordings owned by the free Notetaker seat are stored permanently. However, recordings owned by other workspace members are deleted after 30 days. Transcript downloads and file uploads are paid-only features, so those become inaccessible. Export all recordings before canceling while still on a paid plan.

Can I reactivate my subscription after canceling?

Yes. Return to Workspace Settings > Billing and purchase a new plan. Your workspace and retained data (within Free plan limits) should still be accessible unless you deleted the workspace entirely.

How do I delete my Grain account entirely?

Go to Workspace Settings > General, scroll to 'Delete Workspace', and confirm deletion by entering your password. This is irreversible — all recordings and data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

What are the limits on the Free plan I get downgraded to?

The Free plan includes 1 Notetaker seat with unlimited recordings (capped at 45 minutes per meeting) for that seat owner only. Other workspace members' recordings are deleted after 30 days. Transcript downloads and file uploads are not available on the Free plan.

Log in to Grain

Go to grain.com and log in to your account. You must be a workspace admin to cancel — regular members cannot access billing settings.

Open workspace dropdown

Click your workspace name in the top-left corner of the dashboard to open the dropdown menu.

Go to Workspace Settings

Select 'Workspace Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Open the Billing tab

Click the 'Billing' tab within Workspace Settings to view your current plan and billing details.

Click 'Cancel plan'

Locate the red text link labeled 'Cancel plan' near your current plan details. Alternatively, click 'Change Plan' and then select 'Cancel' on the Plans page.

Complete the cancellation flow

Follow Grain's guided cancellation steps on-screen. Multiple confirmation screens may appear before the cancellation is finalized.

Confirm cancellation

A confirmation message will appear on screen when the plan has been successfully canceled. Your paid access continues until the end of the current billing cycle.
