Can I cancel mid-contract and get a refund?

No. Mend.io's standard terms make all fees non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing. Early termination mid-contract does not entitle you to a pro-rata refund unless Mend.io has committed an uncured material breach after 30 days' written notice.

What is the cancellation notice period?

You must provide written notice of non-renewal at least 60 days before the end of your current subscription term. Failing to provide notice in time will result in automatic renewal for another full term under the same pricing and conditions.

What happens to my data after the subscription ends?

Upon written request, Mend.io grants 30 days of read-only access after termination to export your data. After that period, all account data is deleted. Audit logs are retained for 90 days and backup snapshots for 30 days.

How do I cancel a free Mend Developer Platform or Renovate Community account?

Log in to developer.mend.io, go to your Profile → Account Settings, and click 'DELETE MY ACCOUNT'. Alternatively, uninstall the Mend GitHub App from your GitHub organization settings under Installed GitHub Apps → Configure → Uninstall.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

Reactivation is not self-service. You would need to contact sales@mend.io to negotiate a new contract. Previous configuration and scan history would not be recoverable after data deletion.

Does my subscription auto-renew?

Yes. Mend.io contracts auto-renew at the end of each term unless you provide written cancellation notice at least 60 days in advance. There is no opt-out toggle in a self-service portal — cancellation must be communicated directly to your CSM or support team.

Review your contract terms

Locate your Order Form or Master Subscription Agreement. Check the termination clause — Mend.io requires written notice at least 60 days before the end of your current subscription term (Initial or Renewal). Missing this window locks you into another full renewal term.

Contact your Customer Success Manager

Reach out directly to your assigned Mend.io Customer Success Manager (CSM) via email to initiate non-renewal or early termination. This is the primary cancellation channel for enterprise accounts. If you don't know your CSM, check your onboarding emails or contract documents.

Submit a support ticket if no CSM is available

If you cannot reach your CSM, log in to the Mend Support Portal at https://whitesourcesoftware.my.site.com/SupportPortal/s/ and open a new case. Select the billing or account management category and state your intent to cancel or not renew.

Send written cancellation notice via email

Email support@mend.io and/or sales@mend.io with a formal written cancellation or non-renewal notice. Include your company name, account ID, contract end date, and explicit statement of intent to cancel. Keep this email for your records as proof of timely notice.

Request data export access

In the same communication, request the 30-day post-termination read-only access period to export your scan results, reports, and configurations. Access must be requested in writing before the contract end date.

Obtain written confirmation

Ask Mend.io to confirm in writing: (1) acknowledgement of your cancellation notice, (2) the effective termination date, and (3) that no auto-renewal will occur. Do not assume cancellation is complete without this confirmation.
