Can I still access the platform after I request cancellation?

Yes, your access continues until the end of your contracted service period. Cancellation or non-renewal takes effect at the end of the current contract term, not at the time the request is submitted.

What happens to my data after the contract ends?

Chronosphere will typically retain your data for a short grace period after contract termination (the exact window is in your MSA). You should export all metrics, dashboards, and configurations before the service end date. After the retention window expires, data is deleted and cannot be recovered.

Can I reactivate my account after cancellation?

Yes, you can re-engage with Chronosphere (now part of Palo Alto Networks) by contacting the sales team at chronosphere.io/contact. You would need to enter a new contract, and historical data from a deleted account may not be recoverable.

Has the Palo Alto Networks acquisition affected the cancellation process?

Chronosphere was fully acquired by Palo Alto Networks on January 29, 2026. The product continues to operate under the Chronosphere brand but is now governed by Palo Alto Networks' commercial terms. Reach out directly to your assigned Chronosphere Account Executive (AE) or Customer Success Architect (CSA). These contacts are your primary channel for contract termination. Submit a cancellation request via Support Portal

Log in to the support portal at support.chronosphere.io using your Chronosphere platform credentials or SSO provider. Alternatively, email support@chronosphere.io with the subject 'Contract Termination Request' and include your account name and contract details.

Receive confirmation and termination timeline

A Chronosphere support or account team member will respond to your ticket (visible under 'My activities' in the portal). They will confirm receipt, reference your contract terms, and outline the offboarding timeline and any data export windows before service ends.

Export your data before termination date

During the offboarding period, export any metrics, dashboards, alert configurations, or other data you need to retain. Use the Chronosphere platform's built-in export features or work with the support team to retrieve data via API before the service is decommissioned.

Confirm written termination

Ensure you receive written confirmation of cancellation from the Chronosphere/Palo Alto Networks account team. Keep this for your records. Confirm the exact end date of service access and that no future invoices will be issued.
