Can I cancel Lever online without contacting anyone?

No. Lever does not offer a self-service cancellation option in the platform. You must email their billing team at AR@employinc.com or call 1 (415) 458-2731 to initiate cancellation.

How much notice do I need to give before my renewal date?

Lever requires 30 days' written notice before your contract renewal date. If you notify them with fewer than 30 days to go, your contract will automatically renew for a full year and you will be legally obligated to pay the full amount with no refund.

Will I get a refund if I cancel early?

No. Lever's Professional Services Agreement explicitly states that all fees are non-cancellable and non-refundable. There are no prorated refunds for early cancellation or for renewal periods triggered by a missed 30-day notice window.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Lever retains your data after cancellation unless you explicitly request deletion. To delete your data, have a Super Admin from your account email privacy@lever.co with a formal deletion request. Lever may ask for verification and will confirm receipt. Note that once data is deleted it cannot be restored, and Lever may retain some data for legal compliance purposes.

Can I still access my account after cancellation?

Access is maintained through the end of your paid contract period. After that, Lever suspends the account. You will see a red banner warning on your account before suspension occurs. Access can be restored within one business day if a new contract is signed.

What if Lever auto-renews my contract without notice?

Users report that Lever sends no advance renewal reminders. If your contract auto-renews unexpectedly, contact AR@employinc.com immediately and escalate to management if needed. However, based on user reports and Lever's terms, obtaining a refund for an auto-renewal is extremely difficult — documenting your 30-day notice in writing is the only reliable protection.

Log into your Lever account and locate your contract renewal date. Lever requires 30 days' advance written notice before the renewal date to avoid automatic renewal. Calculate your deadline immediately — missing it by even a few days results in a full-year charge with no refund.

Prepare a cancellation email

Draft a cancellation request email clearly stating your company name, account details, and your intent to cancel before the renewal date. Keep a timestamped copy for your records as proof of timely notice.

Send your cancellation request to AR@employinc.com (Lever's accounts receivable/billing team). Use a tracked or delivery-confirmed email method. Do NOT rely on in-app support tickets alone for this critical notice.

In your email, explicitly ask for written confirmation that your cancellation has been received and processed before the renewal date. Save all replies. Without confirmation, Lever may still auto-renew your contract.

Also submit a support request at https://help.lever.co/hc/en-us/requests/new referencing your cancellation email. Include the date sent and request acknowledgment. This creates a second paper trail in case the billing email is disputed.
