Log into GitLab
Go to gitlab.com and sign in with your account that holds the Premium or Ultimate subscription.
Navigate to billing settings
Click on your avatar in the top-right, go to 'Preferences' or navigate to your group's 'Settings' > 'Billing' if it's a group subscription.
Open subscription management
In the Billing section, find your active subscription and click 'Manage' to access the subscription portal at customers.gitlab.com.
Cancel the subscription
In the GitLab Customers Portal, click 'Cancel subscription'. You'll see a summary of features you'll lose when downgrading to Free.
Confirm cancellation
Acknowledge the feature loss and click 'Confirm cancellation'. Your paid features remain active until the subscription end date.
