Can I export my Roam Research graphs before cancelling?

Yes. In Roam, go to the '...' menu (top-right) and select 'Export All'. You can export your entire graph as Markdown, JSON, or EDN format. Markdown exports work well for importing into Obsidian or Logseq.

What happens to my Roam graphs after I cancel?

Roam Research does not have a free tier. After your subscription ends, you lose access to the web app. However, Roam stores your data in your browser's local storage and on their servers — export before cancelling.

Go to roamresearch.com and sign in with your Google account or email.

Open Account Settings

Click on your account email or the settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner of the interface.

Go to Billing

Navigate to the 'Billing' section to view your current subscription plan and next charge date.

Cancel Subscription

Click 'Cancel subscription' or 'Manage subscription'. You may be redirected to the Stripe billing portal to manage your subscription.

Confirm in Stripe Portal

In the Stripe billing portal, click 'Cancel plan' and follow the confirmation steps. You will receive an email confirming the cancellation. Your graphs remain accessible until the billing period ends.
