SketchUp Free is browser-based with limited features and no desktop app. SketchUp Pro includes the desktop app, LayOut for 2D documentation, Style Builder, advanced import/export formats (DWG, DXF, IFC), and unlimited cloud storage.

Can I still use SketchUp for free after cancelling Pro?

Yes. SketchUp offers a free web-based version at app.sketchup.com with basic 3D modeling capabilities. It does not include the desktop app, LayOut, or advanced file formats that Pro provides.

What happens to my SketchUp Pro files after cancellation?

Your .skp files remain on your computer and can be opened with SketchUp Free (web) or any version of SketchUp. However, LayOut files (.layout) require a Pro license to open and edit.

Log in to SketchUp Account

Go to app.sketchup.com and sign in with your Trimble or SketchUp account credentials.

Open Account Settings

Click your profile avatar or name in the top-right corner and select 'Account' or 'Manage subscription'.

Navigate to Billing

Click 'Billing' or 'Subscription' in the account management area to see your current SketchUp Pro plan and renewal date.

Cancel Subscription

Click 'Cancel subscription' and review the information about access loss. SketchUp may ask you to contact sales for enterprise plans — for standard plans, cancellation is online.

Confirm Cancellation

Confirm the cancellation by clicking 'Yes, cancel'. You will receive a confirmation email. SketchUp Pro access continues until your subscription period ends, after which you can still use SketchUp Free (web-based, limited features).
