Sign In to Basecamp
Go to launchpad.37signals.com and sign in to your Basecamp account.

Open Adminland
From your Basecamp home screen, click Adminland in the top navigation.

Go to Account Settings
In Adminland, click on Account and then select the billing or plan section.

Cancel Your Account
Scroll to the bottom and click Cancel My Account. You may be asked to confirm your reason for leaving.

Export Your Data
Before confirming, use the Export option to download your projects, messages, and files. Data is deleted after account closure.

Confirm Cancellation
Confirm the cancellation. Basecamp will stop billing and your data will be scheduled for deletion.
Retention Tips
Basecamp stores all your project history, messages, and files. Once canceled, this data will be permanently deleted after the grace period. Consider exporting everything first and checking whether the free tier meets your basic needs before canceling entirely.
