Find your renewal date
Log in to Drata and navigate to Company Settings → Plan and Usage to locate your subscription renewal date. Alternatively, check your original Order Form document sent at signup.
Verify the 30-day notice window
Confirm you are within the cancellation notice window. Drata requires written cancellation notice at least 30 days before your subscription renewal date. If you miss this window, you will be automatically renewed for another full annual term.
Send cancellation email to support@drata.com
Compose an email to support@drata.com stating your intent to cancel/terminate your subscription at the end of the current term. Include your company name, account email, and desired termination date (end of current term).
Notify your Account Manager or CSM
Contact your assigned Account Manager (AM) or Customer Success Manager (CSM) directly to inform them of the cancellation. All Drata accounts have dedicated contacts — expect a retention conversation before the cancellation is formally processed.
Receive and track your support ticket
Drata will reply with a support ticket ID confirming receipt of your cancellation notice. Track the status via the Drata Ticket Portal or the in-app chat interface.
Export your compliance data
Before your termination date, export all audit reports, evidence, policies, and compliance data from within the Drata app or via the Drata API. After termination, data remains available for export for only 30 days.
