Will my ESET protection stop immediately after I cancel?

No. Disabling auto-renewal does not cancel your current subscription. You retain full protection until the end of your paid billing period. Only after expiry will protection stop.

Can I get a refund for ESET HU Extra in Hungary?

Hungary-purchased subscriptions have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right from the date the activation codes are delivered. Within this window you can cancel in writing (email, contact form, or post) and receive a credit note. After 14 days, refunds are at ESET/Sicontact's discretion. Contact support@sicontact.hu or call +36 (1) 346 7052 (Mon–Thu 8:00–16:00, Fri 8:00–13:00).

How do I formally cancel in writing as required by Hungarian law?

Send a written cancellation request to Sicontact Kft. by email at support@sicontact.hu, via the contact form at eset.com/hu/rolunk/kapcsolat/, or by post to H-1106 Budapest, Örs vezér tere 25/C 4. em. No reason is required within the 14-day withdrawal period.

Can I reactivate my ESET HOME Extra subscription after it expires?

Yes. Expired subscriptions can be renewed within 60 days of the expiry date through https://home.eset.com or by purchasing a new subscription from the ESET Hungary store.

Does uninstalling the ESET app cancel my subscription?

No. Uninstalling the ESET software does not stop billing or cancel your subscription. You must disable auto-renewal via the ESET HOME portal or eStore separately.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your ESET HOME account and associated data remain accessible. If you formally withdraw within 14 days, Sicontact deletes your subscription data and issues a credit note. To delete your full ESET account, visit https://help.eset.com/home_eset/en-US/delete_account.html.

Log in to ESET HOME

Go to https://home.eset.com and sign in with your ESET account email and password.

Open Subscriptions

In the left side menu, click 'Subscriptions' to view all your active ESET subscriptions.

Select your HU Extra subscription

Find your ESET HOME Extra subscription in the list and click 'Open subscription' to expand its details.

Click Manage subscription

Under 'Subscription options', click the 'Manage subscription' button. ESET will redirect you to the ESET eStore portal to manage auto-renewal settings.

Verify your email

In the eStore, click 'Subscription Management' in the top-left corner, then click 'Verify with your email'. Click 'Send' to receive a verification link, then open the email and click 'Verify email'.

Disable auto-renewal

In the 'Payment details' section of the eStore, click the toggle next to 'Auto-renewal' to switch it off. Check the box next to 'Do not renew my subscription automatically. I would prefer to renew my subscription manually when it expires.'

Save and confirm

Click 'Save Settings', then click 'OK' on the confirmation dialog. Auto-renewal is now disabled and your subscription will expire at the end of the current billing period without being charged again.
